J.O.Y. Club

Just Older Youth
 
 
          
The J.O.Y. Club had a good time January 9th meeting at Prince Creek Diner with 16 seniors enjoying delicious lunch and fellowship.   
       
Scripture for the Day:    “Thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy hearet and with all thy soul and with thy mind.” Matthew 22:37                             
 
Illustration:  Willie was taking the hands of the clock to the Fix-It Shop. His mother explained that he can’t take part of the clock “the hands”, but the whole clock for repair.                       
 
New Year’s Resolution: Don’t first give God part of us, our hands, but our whole self, our heart, our soul, our mind.   January Project: giving gloves and caps to the Youth Christmas Tree for the homeless.
 
February plans for the J.O.Y. Club: Get together on Monday, February 13th @ 11:00 AM at church in the CLC for a pizza and salad lunch. Fun and fellowship with guest speaker, Dr. Asbury Williams. Dr. Williams will discuss health care for seniors.
 
March plans for the J.O.Y. Club: A Luncheon is planned for Monday, March 12th @ 11:00 AM at church in the CLC. We will have guest speaker, Mrs. Rose Jaunzemis, to share her life in another country and her mission
experience.
