Staff

 

Pastor Taylor came to Timberlake Baptist Church to serve as Senior Pastor in August of 2000. Pastor Bob previously served for nine years as Minister of Recreation in Orangeburg, SC.  Bob received his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from The University of South Carolina in Columbia and a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He and his wife, Sandra, have two sons, Gregory and Nicholas.


Kimbi came to TBS as Ministry Assistant in March, 2009 after spending eleven years on staff as the equipper for membership and senior pastor's assistant with a Baptist church in Columbus, Georgia.  Prior to that she worked as a legal secretary for attorneys in Washington, DC, and Columbus, GA.   
 
 

Bookkeeper: Mrs. Denise Cornwell-Ezrin

Denise joined the Timberlake staff in May, 2008.  Denise and her husband, Al, are from Maryland and now reside in Murrells Inlet.  They have five children and their first grandchild is due this spring.  Her accounting experience is with the U.S. House of Representatives where she managed the Payroll Department.  Prior to the U.S. House, she managed payroll and accounting departments for different private industry companies.


Organist: Mrs. Peggy Eaddy
 

Peggy began playing the organ at Timberlake in January 2003.  Before moving to Myrtle Beach, Peggy served as organist and choir director of Swansea First Baptist and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Swansea.  She has also served several churches as a supply organist.  Peggy retired from the public school system in 2003 where she was an elementary teacher and curriculum specialist for Horry County Schools.  Before coming to Horry County, she taught elementary school in Swansea.  Peggy received her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina and her Masters of Arts in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University.  She and her husband Dan have four children: Gus, Fred, Bobby, and Sherri.  They have four grandchildren: Abbie, Nick, Anna, and Tyler.


 
As a charter member of Timberlake, Mike began the music program as the music director as well as pianist.  Being a church pianist was not new for him since it has been one of the ways he has served the Lord for fifty years, beginning at his childhood church near Nichols, SC.  Mike attended USC Coastal Carolina where he earned a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in music, as well as a Masters in Education and was a member of Campus Pride.   In 2004 he retired from the Horry County School System after teaching for twenty-eight years in local elementary schools and now works part time at LifeWay Christian Store.  He and his wife Debbie reside in Murrells Inlet. 

 
Doug came to Timberlake in November of 2007.  He has always been involved in music - from playing guitar and singing in the band to running sound.  Sound being his greatest interest.  He enjoys working and trying to create and provide a pleasant comfortable sound for the services at Timberlake.  Doug has been a self-employed paint contractor for twenty years and is married with three children and one grandchild.  He enjoys his time at Timberlake and especially enjoys the staff and church members.  Doug and his wife, Dena, live in Surfside Beach.
 

Director of Youth: Mr. Kevin Moulden
 
 
 

 
Liz was welcomed as the TBC Junior Youth Director the first of 2009.  Her family joined Timberlake as charter members in 1988.  She has spent the past 15 years working with young children, including 6 years as a preschool teacher at First Baptist Church Surfside.  In addition to working with the Junior Youth, she is employed with the Horry County School District as a substitute teacher and assistant director of the after school program at Burgess Elementary.  Liz is married to Dave and they have two daughters, Alison and Caroline.
 

 

Tammy joined the Timberlake staff in the summer of 2006. She graduated cum laude from Coastal Carolina in 1998 with a B.A. in Arts Studio with an emphasis in graphic design. She was a stay-at-home mom for five years and then worked two years with Horry County School District in Speical Needs before joining us. She and her husband, Kevin, have three young sons: Ethan, Jacob, and Caleb. 


 
Merrilyn came to Timberlake in April 2002.  She started our Timbertots Mothers Morning Out Program in August of 2007.  She leads God's Lil' Bellers (ages 3-6) and God's Chimers (ages 7 and up).  She is the Director of the Burgess Elementary Afterschool Program.  Merrilyn and her husband Stacy will also be in charge of the Angel Food Ministries beginning in April, 2009.  She and Stacy have three sons: Jacob (11), Zack (10), and Luke (4). 
 

Nursery Director: Mr. Jeff Freeman

Jeff joined the Timberlake family in 2002 and just recently took over the position of Nursery Director on February 1, 2009.  Jeff has four wonderful children: Jordan (12), Skylar (10), Trystan (9), and Marshall (7).  Jeff resides on a small farm in Loris and enjoys working around the house, spending time in the ocean, and camping.  In addition to serving at Timberlake, Jeff works full time for Grand Strand Water and Sewer.  Jeff enjoys the fellowship here at Timberlake and looks forward to spending time with the little ones.


 
Sara joined the Timberlake staff in 2008 as Nursery Assistant.  Sara was employed as a Staff Nurse at Georgetown Hospital for twenty-six years.  After moving to Surfside Beach from Pawleys Island, she is now self-employed in real estate part time.  Sara enjoys working with young children and babies as well as walking on the beach.  She has two sons named Jeff and Jonathan.
